Our approach to flexicurity presents several specific features. It is:
- Experimental: It amounts to experimenting, by means of pilot projects, with innovative compromise practices between flexibility and security requirements. These experiments involve companies of different types and numerous workers faced with these flexibility and security requirements.
- Inductive: It is on the basis of the experimentation on the ground (or pilot projects) that we will progress in the definition of flexicurity and identify its indicators and implementation processes
- Participative: Through the setting up of a regional partnership in each of the areas covered by the project, we are involving all of the stakeholders in the labour market and the economic redeployment process, by taking into account their specific interests as regards flexibility and security
.
- Social partners: companies, sectoral federations, workers’ representatives
- Political actors and public authorities
- Experts and institutions from the labour market, local councils
