The declared aims are as follows:

  • To test the relevance of the flexicurity approach at microeconomic level by means of experimentation on the ground with flexicurity systems.
  • To encourage reconversion and the creation of jobs in relatively new activity sectors that are often very demanding in terms of greater working flexibility, by conceiving and implementing new forms of “securitisation” connected with income, status, activity, skills and also employees’ career paths.
  • To encourage partnerships between companies faced with the same flexibility issues so as to offer new forms of security.
  • To anticipate restructuring processes and their effects on employment and work by conceiving new forms of combination between flexibility on the one hand and security and stability on the other.
  • To support, more specifically, the economic redeployment and reconversion efforts of the Liege (Belgium) and Lille (France) labour pools.
